DELNET is a major resource sharing library network in India. As DELNET is devoted to the modernization and networking of libraries, it has always strived to spread knowledge. There is no doubt that DELNET is providing services to the libraries at their level best.

BrahMos Aerospace Knowledge Centre an ISO 9001-2015 certified knowledge centre is an institutional member of DELNET since 2010. The team DELNET has always arranged our requirements of resources from local as well as out-stationed libraries with minimum cost implications. The Delnet IP based ‘User friendly Discovery Portal’ has no match. Through this portal BrahMos Aerospace Knowledge Centre has always accessed Research Articles, Thesis, Books and Bibliographic Records to fulfil the queries of the Scientists of BrahMos placed at various centres. We will always remain indebted to DELNET for their tireless efforts in solving our queries.

Delnet has always provided us a platform to share our knowledge and experience among the large group of libraries through their tutorials, workshops, lectures and training programmes.
The Annual National Convention on Library and Information Networking (NACLIN) has great impact on library professionals. It has helped our team to enhance their professional skills and networking.

Developing Library Network is a significant dimension in the realm of resource sharing and information networks in India. There is no such successful network of libraries in India at present.

We will surely maintain a strong association and boding with team DELNET in future also.Wishing team DELNET all the best for future endeavours.

If anyone asks me to rate the DELNET services I give 10/10 because it's not easy work to bring thousands of libraries closer and to connect them altogether. Inter Library Loan is the highly useful service, provided by DELNET, for libraries like us who have limited collection and space. We are delighted to be the member of DELNET as we are able to serve our users requirements better. I really appreciate the efforts that your organisation put to organise conferences and lectures for the Library community. I am very thankful to DELNET for creating such a platform in the field of Library and Information Science.

We started subscribing to DELNET Inter Library services in 2002. A library cannot be self sufficient, which necessitates resource sharing. DELNET has been instrumental in starting this service at national level.

For so many years we have uninterruptedly subscribed to their services and served our users with books and articles not available in our resource collection.

We would extend our warm wishes to the team to continue and expand its network for greater benefit.

thanks

We have been taught about DELNET in library science curriculum. An interesting journey of DELNET attracted me not only for scoring well in degree but embossed on my mind ‘the Library Ethics in Practice’. DELNET is serving to vast user communities. And I have associated with DELNET in 2007.

Since last 8 years I am serving to health care community as Medical Librarian at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital & Research Center, Pune. It has been realized that serving to doctors promptly and proactively is a crucial task. I experienced importance of rapid information services in pandemic situation too. Being Medical Librarian, we have to provide necessary information within no time but to keeping the financial limits in mind. Health care resources are highly expensive. In fact, I realized the strength and importance of DELNET sources and services while working at DMHRC.

In 2012, when DMHRC was at early phase of DELNET membership process, a doctor raised an urgent requirement of few articles. I conveyed the situation to DELNET. And at minimal period we have received the requirement. I learned dedication to work from DELNET. That’s the beginning of strong bonding between DELNET and DMHRC users.

Health care professionals are always in search of updates. Simultaneously, they may need to refer rare cases in archives. Being Medical Librarian, we have to tackle information emergencies. I never forget one of such experiences in 2013. Our Orthopedic surgeon wanted to refer an old article on “Fractures of the Acetabulum” published in 1964. And the operation of a child was scheduled on next day. Open fractures of Acetabulam are rare. The publication was about 60 year old. It was not available in local libraries. I immediately informed the circumstances to DELNET. You and your team struggled a lot and provided its scanned copy within couple of hours.

Dr Sangeeta, I experienced the same work spirit even in pandemic situation when most of the academic libraries are either closed or working with minimal staff. In May 2020, our Organ Transplant Surgeon felt need to refer an old publication of 1989. When I requested it to DELNET, your team has provided the full text very early. I realized how devotedly DELNET team is working. The working spirit with higher consistency always matters. With the help of DELNET, I am able to fulfill 97% article requirements of DMHRC user community.

To participate in conferences / workshops organized by DELNET is always an event. It provides us platform to interact with eminent personalities and to nourish the professional development.

We never forget endless efforts put by late Dr H K Kaul who nurtured such an esteemed organization.

Tons of Best Wishes to DELNET.

RAJASTHAN

DELNET is a major resource sharing library network in India which connected us with a number of libraries. It helped our faculty, our scholars in getting the books required through inter-library loan and document delivery services. The users find it easy to search as it is simple, single window discovery platform which encourages them to explore the networked library resources and access Research Articles, e-books, e-journals, Thesis, Books and millions of bibliographic records.

The services of Delnet are very prompt, faster, interactive and facilitates the process of quick and safe delivery of the ILL/DDS items. It is an excellent, beneficial and very useful service.

I have a long association with DELNET and the team. I recall those years, early days of my career, I used to visit DELNET, a small room allocated to provide library-related services, especially Inter-Library Loan and Document Delivery services on the premises of IIC Library. Professional activities and services were the main driving forces which converted this space into a real network, a network of libraries for library professionals.

I read about library networks, resource sharing, document delivery services, and ILL during my education but experienced the existence of such services while dealing with DELNET. These services became a reality. DELNET is like a magic stick in the hands of library professionals as it helped us in discharging library services efficiently. I observed that, how user satisfaction went up, our users started getting almost all required documents available for use in the library within a few days or a week. Still, DELNET is providing the services with the same zeal.

I would also like to appreciate the visionary leadership of DELNET that extended its area of scope and started providing many other services that are useful for libraries in the current time. DELNET is a user-centric organization that seeks feedback regularly from its stakeholders. Discusses suggestions in the open platform and implements appropriate suggestions.

DELNET adapted technological changes that occurred during the last 20 years so that the best possible services can be rendered to member libraries and library professionals. We have witnessed the transformation of DELNET as a nodal agency in the field of Library & Information Sciences. I feel that above all could happen due to visionary leadership, a devoted and dedicated team of professionals who has been working relentlessly.

I feel fortunate enough because I could attend the foundation stone ceremony of DELNET and became a witness of an event where seeds were sowed for a great institute that has been providing excellent services to us.

Best Wishes!
